CASICA KABUTOCHO

Opened August 5, 2025

“Tokyo in Asia”
Where food, objects, and people intersect

On August 5, 2025, CASICA KABUTOCHO opened its doors, adding a new burst of color to the Kabutocho neighborhood. CASICA was first established in Shinkiba in 2017 as a “complex space” with the concept of “visualizing living time and space.” It brings together and re-edits objects and experiences created by diverse regions, eras, and people, and has been a source of inspiration ever since. For its new chapter, CASICA has chosen Nihonbashi, Kabutocho. The space, created with the theme of “Tokyo in Asia,” offers a sense of the rich and varied cultures from across the continent. This article gives introduces you to the charms of the CASICA Shop and the CASICA Hanten restaurant, two parts which make up CASICA KABUTOCHO.

⚫︎RESTAURANT “CASICA Hanten”

CASICA Hanten is founded on the theme of “Cross Continental Cuisine,” treating all of Asia, including Japan, as a single continent. Here, you can enjoy pairings of authentic dim sum and other dishes with carefully selected Chinese and Taiwanese teas and natural wines.

⚫︎Lunch
Lunchtime features a menu designed to nourish both body and mind, perfect for a break from work. Enjoy popular favorites from Shinkiba, like the “Seasonal Vegetable Medicinal Curry,” or the hearty “Vegetable Manju and Dim Sum Set.” The meal includes two vegetable-focused side dishes and a daily soup.

⚫︎Tea
The tea menu, guided and selected by Taiwanese tea master Xie Xiaoman, features a unique lineup of four teas, primarily from Taiwan, including rare wild-grown teas from the Alishan region. A special highlight is the option to brew your own tea using the provided teaware after the first steeping.

⚫︎Dinner
Dinner offers an impressive selection of over 40 types of dim sum, steamed dishes, small plates, and main courses. Savor a variety of vibrant Asian dishes in a casual setting, paired with natural wines or Shaoxing wine.

⚫︎SHOP “CASICA”

The shop is a treasure trove of homeware, furniture, and tableware rooted in daily life across Asia. You’ll discover a unique selection, from original Japanese artist-made tea sets and Burmese lacquerware to Thai baskets, Indian stone plates, and Korean ceramics. It’s a carefully curated collection you could get lost in for hours.

As “Tokyo in Asia,” this is a space where food, objects, and people meet. We invite you to experience it for yourself.
