“Coexistence of nature and city”
A simple, high-quality hotel that appeals to the senses

The historical building that now houses the hotel was completed in 1923 in Nihonbashi Kabutocho, an area known well as the financial district of Tokyo. It was fully refurbished and reopened as K5 in 2020. Set as a micro-complex facility, the hotel features a restaurant, cafe, bar, and beer hall.

The classical exterior has been preserved, with the interior undergoing a revamp led by the Stockholm-based design trio, CLAESSON KOIVISTO RUNE.

The design theme of the space, in which Scandinavian modernism is interwoven into the design, is the ‘coexistence of nature and city.’ The interior design and ambiance aim to stimulate the five senses to create harmony between guests, the hotel, and the city.
