Original dishes combining Japan’s seasonal ingredients with Taiwanese spices
Located in the newly built wooden structure prewood, this Taiwan–Japan fusion restaurant is operated by MEYOU LLC, known for Gyoza Sekai Tokyo and Yoshoku. It is supervised by Taiwanese chef Wu Fang-Yu. Drawing from family recipes and refined through experience in Japan, the restaurant creates dishes that combine Japan’s seasonal ingredients with Taiwanese spices—offering flavors found nowhere else.
The name “勺 (Saji)” symbolizes the act of “scooping up” cuisine, culture, and memories. Each dish conveys a story that bridges Taiwan and Japan, past and present.
The building prewood itself is a wooden urban structure designed for future disassembly and relocation, developed through collaboration between Heiwa Real Estate and the architectural startup VUILD. With features such as plaster walls finished by local residents, the space fosters a connection with the community while offering a dining experience that blends Taiwanese and Japanese culture.
