AKAI BAR, located on the first floor of K5 in Nihonbashi Kabutocho, opened in 2025 as part of K5’s fifth-anniversary renewal. The space, enveloped in deep red tones with velvet sofas, carpets, and marble tables, exudes richness and invites guests into an extraordinary atmosphere.

The bar is built around the fictional concept of being owned by “Akai,” a legendary collector who traveled the world. Inside, a diverse array of items—from antique-like objects to art books and paperbacks—creates a one-of-a-kind world. The playful, genre-defying selection pairs beautifully with the refined red interior, balancing weight and lightness.

The drink menu focuses on standard cocktails featuring Japanese whisky and gin. Original cocktails inspired by the neighborhood are also popular, including those made with sake from Heiwa Shuzo, which operates a doburoku brewery in Kabutocho.
