Kabutocho Art Week 2026 Recap
Event Dates: Saturday, February 14 – Saturday, February 28, 2026
At the main venue, Space Keshiki, the exhibition broke away from traditional boundaries like artist background, style, or genre. Rather than providing a rigid framework for “how to view” the art, the focus was placed on the visitor’s immediate intuition, encouraging pure encounters with the works unmediated by prior knowledge. Additionally, a limited edition zine produced specifically for the exhibition was distributed to attendees.
At the wine shop Human Nature, the second-floor space featured works by the project’s main curator, Joji Nakamura, among others.
An installation by the horticultural project LEGGY completely transformed the atrium into an otherworldly landscape.
On the first day of the event, Saturday, February 14, opening parties were held at both Space Keshiki and Human Nature. The venues were packed with visitors and exhibiting artists alike. (Photo: The scene at Space Keshiki).
We’re already looking forward to seeing what theme and format the third edition will take in 2027.
